You Matter to the Commission

At the heart of this message lies Jesus's Great Commission from Matthew 28—a divine command that transforms our understanding of what our lives are truly about. We're not just called to believe; we're commissioned as missionaries to make disciples. But what does that really mean? It means living in what's described as the 'God-framed life'—a life illuminated by the light of Christ, where Jesus is recognized as both Lord and Savior in every detail of our existence. The contrast is striking: we can either live in the yellow frame where God's sovereignty brings purpose and hope, or in the black frame of self-centeredness where life lacks eternal significance. The sermon challenges us with a powerful question: which frame are we living in right now? The Great Commission isn't a suggestion—it's a formal authorization and command with three clear movements: going to the lost, baptizing new believers, and teaching them everything about Christ. This isn't about waiting for people to come to church anymore; the culture has shifted, and we must shift with it. God has strategically placed lost people in our circles—our coworkers, neighbors, family members—and He arranges divine encounters for us to share Jesus. The beautiful truth is that we don't have to manufacture the right words; God provides them. We're called to be lifelong learners who grow in Christ through every circumstance, discovering that Jesus is truly enough in every situation. The question isn't whether we understand the mission—it's whether we're oriented toward it and ready to say, 'Let's go!'
